Whether our students know it or not, when we teach them the Bible, we are teaching them what God has spoken to us from heaven. Not that our words are God’s words, but the Holy Spirit works through us so when we teach the Bible we are teaching God’s words. We pray for God to give us the right interpretation or meaning of His words in the Bible. We also pray for God to make His words from our Bible lesson effective in the lives of our students. The Apostle Paul wrote: “All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). God came from heaven to Mount Sinai and spoke to Moses and the Israelites. In His only begotten Son, God came from heaven and spoke through Jesus. By the Holy Spirit, God empowers His thoughts and words in our students as we teach the Bible, God's words from heaven. We pray and study the scriptures, and God equips us for every good work. We pray and teach the scriptures, and God equips our students for every good work. Imagine how blessed we are to be called by God to teach the Bible! We pray that our students will be equally blessed week-by-week by what we teach from God’s Word.
