The Apostle Paul wrote: “Speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ” (Ephesians 4:15).
As we begin a new year, the teachers who read this forum might consider this paraphrased goal as they prepare their lessons and teach in 2018: “By teaching the truth in love, we will help our students (and ourselves) grow and become in every respect more mature as the body of Jesus Christ, who is the head of the body (the Church).”
Whether you are a teacher or not, you might challenge yourself to read through the Bible this year and create your own notebook summary of each chapter you read into a book for reference later. A printable calendar and notebook pages for printing out and making you own Bible Study Book are available at the Thru the Bible in Thirty Weeks
website. If you would prefer to begin with the New Testament (too many of us get bogged down beginning with the Old Testament), you can use the New Testament materials at the Thru the Bible in Thirty Weeks
to begin with the New Testament.
What are your teaching goals and/or reading goals for new year?
What challenges can you share to encourage us as we begin a new year of Bible study and teaching?
Please share your challenges, goals, ideas with us on the Forum by making a comment. I look forward to learning from you how I can be more helpful!
