Staying Motivated to Teach

Please share with others your answer to a common problem. We need more ideas than I know to share. What do you do to stay motivated to teach Sunday school or your Bible study class week after week? Teaching requires a lot of time to prepare for class, and sometimes we wonder if we are “getting through” to those who are attending.

Here are four things I do:
1. Try to learn something new each week that I can share with others.
2. Remind myself: “To whom much is given, much is required.”
3. Remind myself: “Do not forsake the calling to which you have been called.”
4. Remind myself: “Teach the truth in love.” Love for God, others, and the truth is a great motivator.

Please share some of what you think and do, and the Forum can become more of a “Forum,” the reason most of your subscribed.

For the love of God’s Word,
L.G.
