The Bible Teacher’s Intention — Acts 6:1-8

From the Twelve Apostles, we learn The Bible Teacher’s Intention: “We will give our attention to prayer and the ministry of the Word” (Acts 6:4).

We teach and pray to help our students know the Word of God better and come to know the God of the Word better.

As we study and prepare to teach the Bible, we intend to help our students learn and rightly apply the Word of God. As we pray before, during, and after we teach a class, we intend to help our students to love and obey God with a greater understanding and develop a better relationship with God.

As we fulfill these two responsibilities, we make (and become ourselves) better disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ. We teach and pray that someday it could be said of those we have taught: they became “known to be full of the Spirit and wisdom” so “the Word of God spread” (Acts 6:3, 7).

For the love of God's Word,
