2) Suggested Lesson Flow

  1. Open with two warm-up questions about advice, warnings, and courage.
  2. Read the Scripture Text PDF aloud or silently.
  3. Ask the student to identify Amos, Amaziah, Jeroboam, Israel, Judah, and Bethel.
  4. Ask the student to summarize the Bible text in 2–3 sentences.
  5. Read the Bible Lesson PDF.
  6. Review vocabulary and pronunciation.
  7. Use the discussion and speaking questions.
  8. Finish with a short writing or reflection task.

8) Writing Task

Fluency Tip: Ask the student to use cause-and-effect words: because, therefore, so, as a result, and for this reason. These words help the student explain Israel's choices and the consequences of refusing to repent.

9) Wrap-Up

Wrap-up: Amos was an ordinary shepherd, but the LORD called him to speak a difficult message. The leaders resisted him and told him not to prophesy, but Amos continued to obey God. His example reminds us that God can use ordinary people to speak the truth with courage and faithfulness.

Final question: “How can this Bible passage help us listen to God's warnings and obey Him with courage?”
