These English learning pages include both the Scripture text and the Bible lesson in one study. Tutors may use the lesson plan for a live or online class, and students may use the self-study page for independent practice. These lessons focus on Peter's confession, failure, and restoration, and on Jesus' command to feed and tend His sheep. We also have story-based English lessons at the Ranch School.

Ranch Story Connection

Unexpected Surprises

In Unexpected Surprises, Jake and Mary begin to think seriously about love, responsibility, marriage, and caring for children who need a home. Their story connects well with Jesus' words to Peter after breakfast by the sea. Jesus did not ask Peter for empty words. He asked Peter, "Do you love me?" and then gave him the responsibility to feed and tend His sheep.

Both the Scripture lesson and the ranch story invite us to think about love that becomes faithful service. True love cares, provides, protects, teaches, and keeps tending others over time.

Ranch Reflection

Peter failed Jesus, but Jesus did not cast him aside. Jesus restored Peter with love and gave him meaningful work to do. Love for Jesus is shown not only in what we say, but also in how we feed, tend, encourage, and care for the people He places before us.
